Telephony

Big changes to the way we make and receive calls are coming.

BT Openreach has announced that they plan to switch off the traditional telephone network by 2025 and move everyone over to a fully digital network.

This will affect everything that uses the old network like phone systems, alarms, EPOS machines, door entry systems, CCTV and fax machines.

Don’t despair.

There is time to plan and migrate to a modern business platform. There may also be options to upgrade your existing hardware to support IP based calling.

We’re on hand to help steer you through the minefield and make recommendations that will respect the investments you’ve already made.

From SIP trunks that integrate with your existing phone systems to fully hosted unified business grade solutions.

With the rise in remote working a flexible phone solution can put you closer to your customers, reduce dependencies and save you money.

We have a range of services that will suit your needs and at competitive rates that we guarantee will beat your fixed line call plans.

Phone Services

We’re partnered with one of the countries biggest providers to deliver resilient and secure SIP trunks. SIP is an industry standard and a type of internet telephony service that connects customers with private phone systems to the telephone network using an internet connection. It is a great way to upgrade an existing system and can often bring immediate cost savings in call and connection charges.

SIP trunks are scalable. Traditional ‘fixed’ line technology limits the number of concurrent calls you can make based on the number of ‘lines’ you have and results in paying for capacity you never use. SIP trunks are packaged more accurately for your needs, allow you pick telephone numbers regardless of geography and allowing you to easily scale up and down to meet your needs.

Hosted Phone Systems

A lot of our customers are migrating to hosted systems, reducing the cost of maintaining onsite hardware and the overheads of staff to manage and maintain them. Hosted phone systems bring with them a lot of advantages, introducing genuine unified comms and operational efficiencies that onsite solutions struggle to replicate.

With Ridgeway IT moving to a hosted solution is easily achieved. We’ll do the heavy lifting. We’ll plan, setup and support your new system, and you can even keep your own numbers.

We’ve partnered with RingCentral, a cloud based solution provider, dedicated to this service. Offering a range of flexible packages for small business through to large enterprises, you can pick a plan that has the features and inclusive minutes your business needs, simplifying monthly costs and making it easier to budget.

Through our Microsoft partnership and preferred reseller rates you can purchase Microsoft Phone System and Calling Plans. This enables you to make and receive calls directly from Teams on your desktop/laptop, through the smart phone app or with compatible telephone handsets.

A Microsoft phone system is feature rich (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/here-s-what-you-get-with-phone-system), can be deployed quickly and easily and you can port your numbers into the service. Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams (included as standard with Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise plans) has seen huge adoption during the pandemic, enabling flexible remote working and becoming common place for many businesses.
